NPC Weather is a free weather page. It does not track you. Here is exactly what that means.

The short version: No ads. No sign-up. No accounts. We do not track you across the web, build a profile on you, or sell your data. The page just shows you the weather.

What this policy covers
This policy is about the website at npcweather.com. It does not cover the other websites we link to, like the National Weather Service or NOAA. Those have their own rules.
What we collect
Standard server logs
Like almost every website, our web server keeps a short access log when a page loads. It can include your device's IP address, the kind of browser you use, the page you asked for, and the date and time. We use these logs only to keep the site running, fix errors, and stop abuse. We do not use them to figure out who you are or to follow you around.
Your theme choice
We do not use tracking cookies or ad cookies. The only thing we save in your browser is your theme choice (light, dark, or auto). That stays on your device. It is not sent to us.
Your location (only if you ask)
If you tap the button to use your location, your browser may ask for permission and use your device's location to pick the closest city. This happens in your browser. We do not store your location on our servers. You can always say no and pick a city by hand instead.
How we use it
We use the little we have to show the page and your chosen theme, keep the site fast and working, and find and fix problems. That is all.
When we share it
We do not sell your data. We do not trade it. The only companies involved are the ones that host the site and deliver it to you (our web host and a content delivery network that speeds the page up). They handle normal web traffic for us. We will share information only if the law requires it, such as a valid court order.
How long we keep it
Server logs are kept for a short time and then deleted on a rolling basis. Your theme choice stays in your browser until you clear it.
Your choices
You are in control. You can turn off location in your browser. You can clear the theme setting by clearing this site's data in your browser. Because we have no accounts and store no personal profiles, there is nothing for us to look up or delete about you.
Security
We use normal, up-to-date web security, including HTTPS, so your connection is encrypted. No website can promise perfect security. We keep the risk small by not collecting or storing personal data in the first place.
Children's privacy
This site is safe for kids to read, but it is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from them.
Other websites we link to
We link to other sites, like the National Weather Service and the National Hurricane Center. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Big changes will be easy to see.
