Best fishing & feeding times · solunar, approximate
Moon phase & the planting calendar are real almanac data for the Texas Coastal Bend (USDA zone 9a/9b) — note our two growing seasons: warm-season crops also go in mid-summer for a fall harvest. Sun times are figured for your city and are close, within a minute or two. Solunar times are figured from the moon's position — handy for planning, not a guarantee the fish bite. The fortune is weather-lore for fun, not a forecast.

What you can and can't do today
Corpus Christi is in Stage 3 water rules. The City has had Stage 3 since December 2024. Here is what that means right now:
Not allowed
- No lawn watering. Sprinklers and in-ground systems must stay off.
- No hosing down driveways, sidewalks, or patios.
Still allowed
- Water trees, gardens, flower beds, and pots by hand. Use a hose with a shut-off nozzle, a bucket, or a watering can. Only before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
- Water your foundation only on the days the City lists. Use a small hose, soaker hose, drip line, or a 5-gallon bucket.
- Wash a car, boat, or trailer any day. Use a hose with a shut-off nozzle or a 5-gallon bucket.
- Fill and run a pool. Keep it covered when you are not using it.
Breaking these rules can cost up to $500 a day. The City checks nights and weekends too. Questions or want to report a problem? Call 3-1-1 (or 361-826-1600).
Heard about odd and even watering days? That is an older rule. It does not apply in Stage 3 — there is no lawn watering day right now.
These rules are for City of Corpus Christi water. On a well or another utility (San Patricio MWD, Kingsville, Alice, Beeville)? Check your own provider — they set their own stage.

What this is and isn't
NPC Weather is a free, no-signup, no-tracking utility for residents and contractors in the Coastal Bend Texas region. We aggregate publicly-available data from NOAA NWS, OpenWeather, and the National Hurricane Center into one fast page.
This is NOT a replacement for official sources during an active emergency. If a hurricane warning is issued or an evacuation order is given, follow Texas Division of Emergency Management (tdem.texas.gov) and your county judge's direct guidance. We mirror the official feeds; the originating .gov sites are authoritative.
